Early Check-in / Late Checkout:
Hammetts Hotel utilizes a reservations system that allows you to start your check-in process in advance much like the airlines. Taking advantage of this option will allow us to get a head start on preparing for your arrival and will help us communicate with you about the possibility for early arrival or late checkout.
Rooms may not be available until after the reserved hotel's designated check-in time. The late checkout fee varies, depending on the time of day. If a room is not available upon early arrival or we cannot extend your requested late checkout, our staff will be happy to store your luggage on your behalf.
On-site valet parking is available for one passenger vehicle per room. A nightly valet fee of will be applied to the hotel bill per night. Valet fees will be published when the hotel opens. Additional valet and self-parking is available nearby. Arrangements for oversized vehicles must be made in advance.
Guests must be 21 years or older with photo identification to reserve a room. Acceptable forms of identification include a driver's license, passport, and proof-of-age card. Photo identification must also match the name that is on the reservation and the name of the credit card used.
Room rates are based on double adult (ages 13+) occupancy. A third adult is permitted in select rooms for a supplemental cost of $50 + tax per person per night. The rates quoted in the confirmation letter are based on the number of adults listed in the reservation at the time of booking. Please let us know if you make any changes to the number of occupants in the room. Children age 12 and under stay free at Hammetts Hotel as long as they fit into the total maximum capacity of the selected room type.
Rollaway Beds, Air Mattresses and Pack & Plays:
There are no rollaway beds or air mattresses at Hammetts Hotel. Each room has space for one additional person on the day bed. The hotel has several pack & play yards that can be reserved in advance. Contact the hotel to make arrangements.
We recommend using a credit card for guaranteeing a reservation and checking into the hotel. If desired, a debit card can be used at check-out to settle the final charges.
If using a debit card: Upon check-in, an authorization for the full amount of your stay plus an allowance for incidental charges will be applied to your card. The authorization amount will be deducted from your checking account balance. Upon checkout, the total balance will be charged to your card and the authorization amount released.
Depending on your banking institution, this release may take 5-7 business days per the financial institution’s processing procedures. The hotel is not responsible for overdraft fees associated with your debit card.
Reservation Guarantee and Deposit:
Memorial Day Weekend - Columbus Day Weekend: A credit card number must be provided at the time of booking. An initial deposit will be charged to the card in the amount of the first night's room rate + applicable taxes. The remaining balance will be due upon check-in.
Late October - Mid May: A credit card number must be provided at the time of booking to guarantee the reservation. The full reservation cost will be charged upon check-in.
Reservation Changes, Cancellations, Early Departures:
Memorial Day Weekend - Columbus Day Weekend: For cancellable bookings you may cancel your reservation until 4pm local Hotel time 3 days before your scheduled arrival date to avoid forfeiture of the 1-night deposit of the room rate and applicable taxes. Any change to your arrival or departure date or room type is subject to the Hotel's availability at the time the modification is requested and may change the rate. Shortening a reservation within the 3 day cancellation window will result in cancellation fees equivalent to the room and taxes for the applicable nights or an early departure fee.
Late October - Mid May: For cancellable bookings you may cancel your reservation until 4pm local Hotel time 2 days before your scheduled arrival date. Late cancellation will result in a charge to the credit card on file in the amount of the first night's room and applicable taxes. Any change to your arrival or departure date or room type is subject to the Hotel's availability at the time the modification is requested and may change the rate. Shortening a reservation within the 2 day cancellation window will result in cancellation fees equivalent to the room and taxes for the applicable nights or an early departure fee.
Special Rates: Select rates are designated as fully prepaid/non-refundable at the time of booking. These rates are discounted based on a full commitment to the reservation cost. Date changes to a prepaid booking will be made based on availability and will be charged the full prevailing retail rate at the time of the change.
Hammetts Hotel is a pet-free hotel. While we cannot host pets, we gladly welcome service animals (as defined under the Americans with Disabilities Act) throughout the hotel. Whenever possible we request that you inform us in advance that you will be travelling with a service animal.
All rooms, suites, and indoor spaces at Hammetts Hotel are a smoke-free environment. If evidence of smoking of any substance is discovered in your room a minimum deep cleaning fee of $350 will be applied to your hotel bill, which may occur after check-out when the housekeeping team cleans the room. Please note that e-cigs, vape pens, pipes, tobacco, marijuana, etc. fall under the non-smoking policy. Contact a hotel employee to find out where the designated smoking areas are located.
